White (George Robert) Schoolboy Stadium is dedicated.

Architect: Desmond & Lord. The stadium seats 10,519, includes elements from Harvard, Yale, Brown, and Yankee stadiums, and has four flagpoles to display the school flags of all four teams playing in a double-header. The first games are played two days later between Roslindale and Charlestown (19-0), East Boston and Brandeis Vocational, Hyde Park and Brighton, and South Boston and Jamaica Plain.
